#PennedPossibilities Have you ever written anything that falls within the genre of horror?
I've sold a short story to a horror anthology and have written two more stories about the same character. My son agrees that some horrifying things happen, but he rejects that these stories are actually horror. He said, "the general atmosphere and tone doesn't lead to a mounting sense of dread and unease, as the reader I didn't get any crawling skin or aspect of terror."
I'm calling them "dark fantasy."
<p>The Town of <a href="https:/
The Town of #Amherst on Sunday mornings is littered with trash and garbage when #UMassAmherst is in session. It's a challenge to walk a boxer dog with chicken bones scattered everywhere. Forrest would not be amused. #WesternMass

"*Angels' Wings*," crackled the speaker. "Clearance level Alpha. You are directed to berth 32."
"In the #pipe, five by five," responded Nene, acting as communications officer.
"They know who we are?" asked Zaza.
"It's easier to modify the truth than to construct a lie," Grumpy explained.
"As long as they have cake, Bebe doesn't mind." #wss366 from *The Better Angels and the Really Bad Idea*

<p>Lambda had persuaded Totemo to sign
Lambda had persuaded Totemo to sign up for a day-long cat-guided rest day. Their facilitator was Tama, a fluffy, white cat with blue eyes.
After going out at dawn to hunt voles, they had spent hours just laying in the sun, moving periodically as the light moved across the floor.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into this," Totemo said. She and Lambda were laying on the floor in a sunbeam.
Lamba lay on her back with her muppies splayed out. She wuffed, softly.
"I can't relax," Totemo said. "I've got so much to do and, instead, I'm just laying around here." (1/3) #wss366
<p>The ball sailed up into the air.
The ball sailed up into the air. Brunhilde raised up her arms to catch it, shrieking with delight. But then Forrest swooped down, snatched the ball, and flew off into the forest with it. They watched as he vanished among the treetops.
"I'll replicate another ball," the bear said. (3/3) #wss366
<p>"Hey! Hey!" Brunhilde said
"Hey! Hey!" Brunhilde said to the bear. "How come you don't have any play stuff here?"
"This is the Volpex Picnic Park," the bear explained. "For play equipment, you should go to a Children's Park."
Brunhilde looked down and scuffed her feet.
"That's what my mom said." (1/3) #wss366

After dinner, we visited the Scantic River Brewery and I got a flight to try the IPAs. Both the DIPAs are quite good! #beer

This hiking trail would probably have been much better if it were cat-guided.
<p>The crime scene investigators
The crime scene investigators entered Club Bukake. Wearing special glasses and using an ultraviolet light, they checked carefully for clues.
"I'm seeing a lot of biological material here," one said, indicating stains on the furniture. And floor. "What do you think it could be?"
"I'm not sure," said the other. "It doesn't looks like blood. Or mucus."
"Saliva?"
"I don't think so. It's some other kind of bodily secretion."
"Take some samples. We can check when we're back in the lab." #wss366
<p>The Butter Angels got up blearily
The Butter Angels got up blearily and looked around in surprise, only then recollecting the events of the day before.
"C'mon, Angels," Susan said, sticking out her hand.
They made a circle and all put a hand in for their daily ritual.
"Let's get cookin'!" they all said in unison. (2/2) #wss366
